The Ivins

About Us

Bob Ivins served as Assistant Director and, later, Director of TLC for a total of 5 years. For the past 24 years he has worked with, and discipled both men and women in addiction recovery.  Ten of those years involved summer construction ministry in Russia and Ukraine with SEND International. In December 2021, he will retire after 23 years of discipleship/trades teaching ministry with Homes of Hope, Greenville, SC.

Bob has a background of drug and alcohol addiction.  He came to Christ in 1973.  Sensing that God was calling him into ministry, he pursued a college education, majoring in Bible with a Greek minor.  It was while at college he met and married Robin.

For summer ministry, Bob joined a team which participated in evangelism with Manhattan Bible Church, NY.  That was his first connection with Pastor Tom Mahairas.

A few years later Bob was challenged by Tom Mahairas to consider if the Lord may be leading him to help with another work which he had founded, a newly started rehabilitation center 1.5 hours north of Manhattan, named Transformation Life Center.  That is how the Ivins' love for this work began.  They saw many lives changed and have remained in contact with many graduates of this program from years ago.

Robin seeks to support Bob in whatever God calls him to do.  She currently facilitates online Bible studies for women with "Love God Greatly."  She is a writer and plans to be assisting with newsletters and sharing the stories of lives transformed by the power of God at TLC.

Married for 43 years, the Ivins' have 3 married, adult children and 11 grandchildren.  Two lives touched with God's love reaching out to share it with others...the ripple effect.
